I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Stony Brook University. I am largely motivated by a desire to find solutions to global social problems, mainly through democratic, non-institutional means. Right now, I am focusing on best practices among grassroots human rights groups in Colombia. I was born in Morningside Heights and am a dual citizen of the US and Colombia.
